• The Writers – Brent Butt and Mark Farrell
  • Director – David Storey
  • A brief synopsis – Hank has a girlfriend named Heather.  Problem is, it looks like she may be from Woolerton (spit).  Lacey is perplexed that no one invited her to the annual Harvest Dance.  Brent and Oscar try to avoid having to eat Emma’s jelly salad.  Karen looks for a way to get a raise.
  • The best line – Lacey: Brent and Oscar don’t like your jelly salad.  Well, actually they hate it.  They’ve been fibbing to you for years.  I thought you should know.  Emma (with increasing sarcasm): Oh, so, you thought it’d be better if everybody thought I was a fool and that my salad tastes terrible.  Yeah, it’s a lot better.  Lacey (perplexed and feeling horrible): Well, good then.
  • The best moment – Oscar explaining why the doctor forbids that he have Emma’s salad.
  • The best storyline – Hank’s got a girlfriend.  A beautiful one, at that.
  • Notable guest appearance – Deanna Milligan is Heather.
  • Em’s Favorite Character – Hank, because he said he was going to “have to dump her.”
  • El’s Favorite Character Heather, because she messed up the traffic with her sign.
  • Grade – B+

A good ending to season 2, sweetened with Hank getting a girl friend.  Lacey’s inability to lie becomes her biggest strength.  Hank is ever the cool collected opportunist, even when his plans are ridiculed and laid to waste.  Karen is getting more clever by each episode.  Someday she may be as clever as Emma.  Some regrets that Heather never showed up again.
