The Adam Project is a good diversion if you are home looking for something to explode on screen just a little and warm your heart a little more.

If you need a fix of Paxton and Fishburne on cruise control, you could do worse. Just not much worse.

Hard to believe the film will be remembered for anything more than Liu’s obvious talent.

Another Look at Falling from Grace (***1/2) Mellencamp’s first film
As it stands the film feels like a particularly brutal television movie with a few good lines and way too many characters speechifying.

House of Gucci (*****) – Don’t you want me?
House of Gucci is a powerful and concise film. It gives us the clear vision of what happens when a family inherits a vision that they don’t fully understand or even deserve.

The Cursed (***1/2) is serious
Reilly gives back all the ground she has gained as Beth in Yellowstone, but that is fine. One can’t verbally abuse a cursed beast that is taking the village apart.

In Between (*1/2) is not far enough
They have a debate on the authenticity of Titanic, because of course they would.

The King’s Man (****) is not without sacrifice
Some might think the story silly for the fact that they often bring swords to gunfights. In the end, both are well-played.

Netflix Texas Chainsaw Massacre (**) – Once more into the ditch
Oh well. It is what it is: a slaughterfest with barely sketched out characters.
