The end result is somewhere between Wes Anderson and David Lynch, which can be good or bad depending on one’s point of view.
The film doesn’t hold up, but with perhaps a bit more story, it’s premise could be really something.
…this is mostly an excuse to show some very capable killer ladies strut their stuff on screen for in just under two hours. This is more than enough for me.

Like anything, though, it’s a vote to see better films of a various cultures when one supports a variety of films from those different cultures. I enjoyed learning a bit about the history of Singapore and I look forward to discovering more. At some point, perhaps we’ll get more epic stories. For now, I will settle for being entertained, a bit more educated…and happy.
