The.Office.S09E13

  • Written by Carrie Kemper
  • Directed by David Rogers
  • A brief synopsis – Dwight gets a challenge from David to come up with a part-time replacement while Jim is away.  This allows Dwight the chance to be creative in his pursuit of said replacement.  Pam is anxious to discover who her new neighbor will be.  Erin and Pete try to track down her birth parents.
  • The best line – Nate: Do we get our resumes back or do you keep them?  Because I only have the one and I have a chili recipe on the back that I really want to keep.
  • The best moment – Dwight designed a uniform for Dunder-Mifflin.  “Summer, Winter, Jungle, Formal”
  • 2nd best moment – Glad you’re not here.
  • The best story line – The job hunt was alright, but Clark made it all worthwhile.
  • Key exit(s) –  All of Dwight’s friends?
  • Notable guest appearances –  James Urbaniak, Michael Schur, Chris Gethard, and Beth Grant are part of the weirdos and freaks that are part of Dwight’s friends.  Chris Diamantopoulos plays the guy that should not be speaking with Pam.  He really shouldn’t.  Andy Buckley is back as David Wallace.
  • Grade – B

A good episode, but nowhere near great.  This is a disappointment for Carrie Kemper.  The episode was barely 2 dimensional, but the story lines used are alright.  I am not alright with Brian and Pam.  It can’t go anywhere and really does not add to any of the characters.  The whole routine is a mistake.  Nice to see how Jim is able to pick his own replacement.
