Jurassic World Dominion (**1/2) Wilting under the shoulders of giants
The film is at its best when the original Jurassic Park crew are onscreen.
-

The Amityville Horror theatrical films reviewed
Is this series worthwhile or is it just one big Golden Sombrero?
-

Men (****1/2) Eve bit the Apple
The effectiveness of a film like this is it even has this viewer questioning the nature of his relationship with his own wife. Is there a partnership there, or is it a threat?
-

Ti West’s X (***1/2) is best if you can ignore the makeup
We know something is coming, and we are pretty sure what is coming.
-

Shudder’s The Room (***1/2) is better than it should be
This is not necessarily something that would succeed on the big screen. It is definitely something worth watching after dark on a weekend.
-

The Cursed (***1/2) is serious
Reilly gives back all the ground she has gained as Beth in Yellowstone, but that is fine. One can’t verbally abuse a cursed beast that is taking the village apart.

Netflix Texas Chainsaw Massacre (**) – Once more into the ditch
Oh well. It is what it is: a slaughterfest with barely sketched out characters.

Mayem (*1/2) and now for something not so different
…this film makes its fellow office massacre film The Belko Experiment look like Shakespeare.
-

Resident Evil – Welcome to Racoon City (*1/2) Here’s blood in your eye
This film is appreciable for it’s dedication for recreating the original stories. The problem is, the story is better when you are playing a video game at 3 a.m. all hopped up on Mountain Dew.

Antlers (****) earns our fears
The atmosphere is such that it gave me tangential nightmares the night I saw them. Not many films do this anymore.
