Motherless Brooklyn (***) is simple and reverent

"Overall it's a good, not great effort. The film is enjoyable if predictable. Norton's ability to show a clean, multi-layered view of the politics that went into creating the city he loves so dearly is entertaining."

Glass (***) Holds enough

#Glass "...The film is a decent companion to Split. Neither of the latter movies really have the power of Unbreakable, which is still the director's masterwork. As it is, there've been two inferior sequels, but the trilogy still works if one can accept this as Night's vision and not ours..."

Death Wish (***) is down the middle

If this were a great film, there might be something to say about the rights to bear arms to protect oneself from the criminals. The filmmakers are not interested in waging a war in politics. They really just wanted a vehicle for Eli Roth to be just a little more mainstream and for Bruce Willis to climb back out of the straight to video market.
