It does the almost impossible task of bringing together everything we’ve seen and opens the door to everything else we might see in the future.
One thing that should not be disputed by now is that Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man, and it’s not even close.
The one who benefits most from this arrangement is Lilly’s Hope, who continually marches through each predicament with the smarts of Hermione and the physical prowess of Wonder Woman. She is the best part of Ant-Man and The Wasp. Nothing she does is done for the sake of being a woman or in spite of it. She’s out to accomplish objectives.
Even if I never watch it again, this wasn’t a waste of my time. It’s not enough to make me see the next one in theaters, but it’s definitely not the overwrought mess we saw the first time.
This is the best Spider-Man movie for so many reasons…and I shall explain with no spoilers
It’s not as much a movie as a celebration of all things insanely tangential. The references are so thick you can go 2 seconds before getting another one. Billy Dee Williams as Harvey Dent / Two Face? Really? Are you kidding?
